Your marketing, managed. Your team, led.
Fractional Marketing Manager for Small Businesses
I run your marketing as part of your business: the plan, the work and the people doing it, for a monthly fee instead of a full-time salary. Below is what that covers, who it is for and how we work together.
Short answer
What does a fractional marketing manager do?
A fractional marketing manager runs your marketing part time, for a monthly fee, as part of your business. I write the plan, lead the work with your team and outside partners, step in hands-on where it helps, bring on new people when a role is missing, and report every month on what it returned.
- 01Book a free call and tell me what you want more of. You hear what I would do first.
- 02Sign off a plan and a monthly scope in writing before anything gets spent.
- 03Review the numbers together every month, and adjust what I take on as you grow.
The board
What a marketing manager does.
One strategy, four parts of the job, and one person accountable for all of it.
00 / Always first
Strategy & Positioning
Who you are for, why customers pick you, and what a good month looks like in dollars. A short written plan that everything else answers to, signed off before anything gets built or spent.
Execution & Oversight
The plan, carried out: lead generation, campaigns, the website and CRM, follow-up and content. Depending on your setup, I work hands-on where it helps and lead your team and outside partners for the rest, checking every piece against the plan.
Team, Agencies & Freelancers
Your staff, your agencies and your freelancers working to one plan. I set the standards, review the work, and replace what is not pulling its weight.
Hiring & Training
When a role is missing, I define it, help you hire the right person and train them in, so what I know stays in your business.
Measurement & Reporting
Calls, forms and bookings traced to where they came from. Once a month, a short report and a call: what came in, what it cost, and what changes next.
Hands-on leadership. I lead your team and partners, and step into the work where it helps.

Strategy & Positioning
Before anything gets built or spent, we get clear on who you are for and why they should pick you. It is the part most businesses skip, and the reason so much marketing money goes nowhere.
- Who you are forThe customers worth chasing, and the ones better left to someone else.
- Why they pick youThe reason to choose you over the next name on Google, in the words your customers use.
- What a good month looks likeTargets in dollars and booked work, not clicks and impressions.
- The plan, in writingWhat we do first, what waits, and what it costs. You sign off before anything is spent.
What you get
One short plan that everything else answers to. Every page, ad and email after it gets checked against it.
Execution & Oversight
The plan, carried out
A plan only matters once it is done. Depending on your setup and what you already have, I may be involved in all of it, or work through your team and outside partners. Either way, every piece points at the same goal.
- Lead generationLocal search and your Google profile, social media, campaigns on Google, Meta or LinkedIn, and offers that give people a reason to act.
- Website and CRMPages built to turn visitors into requests, and one system where every enquiry lands and gets followed up.
- Processes and automationsFollow-ups, reminders and handoffs that run on their own, written down so anyone can follow them.
- ContentWhat you publish, where and why, from website copy to the newsletter.
What you get
Marketing that happens every week, not only when someone finds the time.
Team, Agencies & Freelancers
Everyone working to one plan
Most businesses already have some help: someone on the team, an agency running ads, a freelancer for design. I lead all of them toward the same plan.
- DirectionClear priorities every week, so nobody guesses what matters most.
- StandardsWhat good work looks like, written down and checked.
- Vendor managementAgencies and freelancers briefed, reviewed and held to what they promised, and replaced when they are not delivering.
- One point of contactYou talk to me. I talk to everyone else.
What you get
Fewer vendors to referee, and work that adds up instead of pulling in different directions.
Hiring & Training
The right people, brought on well
Sometimes the missing piece is a person. I help you find out which role you actually need, hire for it and get them up to speed.
- The role, definedWhat the job is, what it is not, and how you will know it is done well.
- HiringJob description, interviews and a practical test, so you hire for the work, not the resume.
- OnboardingAccess, processes and the first weeks planned, so a new hire is productive sooner.
- TrainingYour team learns the system, so it keeps running when I am not in the room.
What you get
A team that can carry more of the work over time, with what I know staying in your business.
Measurement & Reporting
Numbers you can trust, acted on
Measured every month and adjusted on what the numbers actually say. No guessing, and no figures that look good but never turned into paying customers.
- Tracking that worksCalls, forms and bookings traced back to where they came from.
- A monthly reportShort and in plain language: what came in, what it cost, and what it turned into.
- A monthly callWhat I am changing and why, and anything I need from you.
- TestingPages, offers and ads tried against each other, and the better one kept.
What you get
Money moved toward what brings in customers, and away from what does not.
Is it right for you?
A good fit, and when it is not.
Nobody owns the marketing
Growing businesses and nonprofits with big plans and no one yet to lead the marketing behind them.
- Marketing happens in the gaps and stops when things get busy
- Tools, but no system: website, CRM and email not connected
- Leads slip through, and no one can say what works
- Helpers, agencies or freelancers, but no direction
One task, or no time
A fractional marketing manager is not the answer to everything. It is probably not the right step if:
- You need one specific task done, like a logo or a landing page
- You already have a capable marketing lead with the time to do the job
- The offer, the price or the delivery is not working yet
- Nobody on your side has time to make decisions
What it is not
Not an agency. Not a strategy deck.
A fractional marketing manager works as part of your business. I am accountable for the plan and the results, not for selling you more of one service.
Websites, CRM and campaigns are part of the work when the plan needs them. What you hire is the leadership that makes them add up, and someone who tells you plainly what is and is not working.
How we get started
Three steps, no runaround.
How we work together
Start where you are.
Before any work starts, we agree on my role in writing: what I take care of, what stays with you or your team, and what you can expect from me every month.
How much I take on is up to you, and it can change as you grow. Packages start at around $2,000 a month, depending on scope.
FAQ
What owners ask first.
Straight answers to what usually comes up before the first call.
What is a fractional marketing manager?
An experienced marketer who runs your marketing part time, for a monthly fee, instead of as a full-time employee. I set the plan, lead and oversee the work, manage the people and vendors involved and report on the results every month.
How is that different from a fractional CMO?
A fractional CMO focuses on executive strategy and leading a marketing team that already exists. A fractional marketing manager combines strategy with hands-on execution and day-to-day management. Most small businesses and nonprofits need the second: someone who plans the work and gets it done.
Is it the same as hiring an agency?
No. An agency sells services, usually in one channel. I work as part of your business, own the overall plan and the results, and choose which channels, agencies or freelancers to use, including the ones you already have.
Do you also build websites and set up CRMs?
Sometimes, when the plan needs it and I am the best fit for that piece. Often your team or an outside partner does that work, and I make sure it fits the plan. Either way, what you hire is the leadership that makes the website, the CRM and the campaigns work together.
Can you manage my existing team and agencies?
Yes. I set the direction and the standards, review the work and act as the one point of contact. If a role is missing, I help you define it, hire for it and train the person in.
How much does it cost?
A monthly fee based on the scope and time involved, agreed in writing before any work starts. Packages start at around $2,000 a month. Ad spend and software are paid separately.
How do I know it is working?
Calls, forms and bookings are tracked back to where they came from. Once a month you get a short report and a call: what came in, what it cost, what it turned into and what changes next.
